Martham Judo club had three more big wins in the BJC (MAC) invitation Judo
Champion held at Stalham Sports Hall on Sunday. A great day for Loretta,
Gold medallist, Joshua , Gold medallist, and Yasmin ,Silver medallist. It
was a great event and enjoyed by all who entered.
Martham Judo club are always looking for new members so come along and have
some fun. We meet on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm for under 12's, 7:30 for

Martham Judo club has held another great judo event this Saturday. This
being an Under Green Belt Open Championship held at Martham Judo Club. We
witnessed some fantastic judo from 86 competitors from all over Norfolk.
Despite the weather everyone left happy with loads of medals from a very
enjoyable day.
We are always looking for new members. We meet on a Thursday at Martham
Village Hall. Come along and give it a go. You will have a great workout
and meet lots of new friends. It's a good way to get in shape after the
New Year.
New juniors from 6-12 years of age train from 6.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
New Teens and adults train from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm.

| Anglia Region Advanced Judo Coaches Seminar The British Judo Council (MAC) Anglia Region sent seven of their coaches from Martham, Ormesby, North Walsham, and Easton Judo clubs to a National Advanced Coaching seminar held at Easton College this weekend. It was led by Len Mower (National Technical Board Examiner) 7th Dan. The course was rigid and structured. It was enjoyed by all, and everyone left with the aim to raise standards and bring uniformity to our coaching. Martham Judo Club rakes in the medals Martham Judo Club (Shimoto Ryu Judo Kwai) took a judo team to Southend this weekend the attend the Eastern Region Individual Open Judo Championship. The standard of judo was extremely tough, and they all brought home a medal. Jemma Thomas (Gold), Katie Slater (Gold and Silver), Loretta Askew (Bronze), Joshua Maney (Silver), Jed Tearle (Gold), Sophie Butler (Silver), Charles Sawbey (Gold), and Chris Able (Gold). Martham Judo Club News Report Martham Judo Club (Shimoto Ryu Judo Kwai),had another great day at our Regional Grading held at Stalham Sports Hall on Sunday June 6th. The seven of our players that attended all achieved new grades. Loretta Askew Yellow belt + 4 Orange, Arlen Curtis Yellow belt + 1 Orange, Oliver Hamelijnck Green belt + 4 Blue, Yasmin Rivett Orange belt + 5 Green, Leigh Walter - Orange Belt. enter Our Closed Regional Judo Championship held at Stalham Sports
Hall last weekend.
The standard of Judo was very high and our team was up to the challenge with a range of medals won. Gold: A. Anthill, W. Oliver and J. Tearle. Silver: M. Gilson, and J. Williams Bronze: S. Meller, S. Yates, K. Durrant, J. Martin, W.Taylor, T. Dade, R. Brockwell, and L.Blackwell. We welcome new members to anyone interested in taking up the sport. last Saturday. Four of our competitors entered a low grade championship
held by Wymondham Judo Club. They gave it their all and came away with
four medals. S.Yates won a bronze, J.Antill won a bronze, T.Dade won
a bronze, and K.Miller won a silver. Well done for their determination

Martham Judo Club held its18th annual Judo Camp last weekend at Hallowtree
Scout Camp, Ipswich. We had another successful three days with excellent
classes lead by two 6th Dan's and one 7th Dan. The camp also provided
a host of fun games ranging from archery, shooting, rounders to football.
The children made bottle rockets and told jokes and ghost stories
around the camp fire. We finished with a camp judo competition with
lots of medals being won by all. It was well supported by parents,
they had a great time participating in all the games and activities.
